Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Clipcaster ("the app") is a desktop application that runs on your computer. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Data the app accesses
- Video files you choose to caption and post. They are processed on your computer.
- TikTok account data, when you connect TikTok: your basic profile information (display name, avatar and account ID, through the
user.info.basicscope) and permission to upload and publish videos on your behalf (video.uploadandvideo.publish). - YouTube account data, when you connect YouTube: permission to upload videos to your channel.
How the data is used
The data is used only to show which account is connected and to upload and publish the videos you choose, with the captions and settings you choose. The app never posts without your action.
Storage and sharing
Access tokens and settings are stored locally on your computer. The app has no servers of its own and does not collect, sell or share your data with third parties. Videos you post are sent directly to TikTok or YouTube, and their own privacy policies apply there.
Your choices
You can disconnect an account in the app at any time, which deletes its stored tokens. You can also revoke access from your TikTok or Google account settings. Uninstalling the app removes its local data.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
